Rachel joined the Liverpool office of Mace & Jones in 2001. She specialises in financial problems arising on the breakdown of a marriage, as well as cohabitation splits and all other family related issues.

Rachel embraces the varied work that family law has to offer. A typical caseload will also comprise separation agreements involving both married couples and cohabitants; variation of maintenance; enforcement applications; and contact and residence disputes relating to children. Rachel is also seeing an increasing number of requests for pre-nuptial agreements.

Rachel enjoys working as a family solicitor as it enables her to work closely with people dealing with a broad range of issues. Every day is different and rewards are reaped when Rachel facilitates a resolution to a particular client's problems, so seeing a positive change in their life. Rachel is also a member of Resolution (formerly The Solicitors Family LAw Association).

Her interest in people and her desire to help improve their lives has led Rachel to recently volunteer as a mentor for young offenders. She was inspired after having seen a similar scheme in practice on the BBC2 documentary series "Make Me Honest".
