Mace & Jones launches new division for higher and further education sector

Leading law firm Mace & Jones is launching a new education division, offering a complete legal services package, to the higher and further education sector.
The driving force behind the new division will be Manchester University's former head of contract services Martin Vincent. Martin played a key role in co-ordinating the complex legal framework for the merger of University of Manchester and Umist and brings in depth experience and expertise of the highly specialised sector.
Martin said the new education division would be offering a comprehensive legal package to Universities, further education colleges and sixth form colleges. He will lead a multi disciplinary team of specialists drawn from the firm's real estate, employment and HR, corporate and intellectual property departments.
"This is a massive sector with a very real need for specialist legal services," he said. "We believe we have a formidable package on offer which critically means Universities and colleges can get all their legal advice under one roof. This service will be provided by specialists who understand their legal services needs and the particular demands of the education sector."
