Handling Employee Investigations
Who should attend:
Managers and HR professionals with responsibility for managing or conducting investigations for internal disciplinary or grievance purposes.
Objectives:
At the end of this course delegates will be able to:
- Understand and explain the minimum legal requirements
- Understand the importance and purpose of employee investigations
- Understand the role of an 'investigating officer'
- Develop an investigation plan
- Structure and carry out an investigation interview
- Consider and make decisions on evidence
- Present investigation findings

- Planning the investigation and the roles of those involved
- Interviewing format and skills
- Dealing with interviewees
- Concluding investigations and taking action
Combination of presentation, case studies, questions and answers.
