Emma is based in the Knutsford office and heads the team there. She has practised exclusively in family law for over fourteen years, dealing with many business clients and complex high value claims. Emma specialises in financial and children issues on relationship breakdown, including divorce, separation of cohabitants and the Inheritance Act with a particular interest in cohabitation issues. Emma's specialist knowledge of the law and thorough understanding of the interplay between financial, personal and legal aspects mean that she provides a high quality of representation for her clients. Emma's focus is on problem-solving to enable clients to resolve issues and move on from a difficult stage in their lives.

Emma is a past member of the National Committee of Resolution (formerly The Solicitors Family Law Association - a practitioners' group which seeks to advance non-confrontational expertise in family law, improve quality of practice and lobby for changes in legislation). She is a past Chair, and continues to sit on the Publications Committee (which is responsible for the production of various popular precedent books for the profession) and is an active member of the Cohabitation Working Party (currently pressing for law reform for cohabitants), having recently presented at the National Conference.

Emma is accredited as a family law specialist on the Law Society's Family Law Panel and the Resolution Panel (Advanced Financial Provision II and Cohabitation), and is also a trained collaborative lawyer. She is a regular contributor to a variety of publications including Kelly's Draftsman and Resolution Family Law Handbook.
