Data Protection – Employment Law Essentials
Who should attend?
Anyone who is responsible for data management, managing staff or HR professionals.
Objectives:
At the end of this course delegates will be able to:
- Understand what the Data Protection Act covers
- Understand what constitutes personal data, sensitive personal data and a relevant filing system
- Understand and be able to apply the Eight Data Protection Principles
- Know when you can process personal data and sensitive personal data
- Know how to handle references and subject access requests

- What is personal and what is sensitive personal data?
- What information is covered by the Data Protection Act?
- What is a relevant filing system?
- Processing/starters for ten
- Lawful processing

Method of Training:
A combination of interactive sessions and challenges, presentation and discussion.
Length of Course:
Half day.
